One of those trends that we’d like to tackle and take home for our own is this summer’s blush-y pink trend. Did you see Kelly from The Glamourai (waxing way more poetically than us about trends, btw) rocking those pink jeans? There’s something about the warm, sun-bleached nature of the color that seems to be the perfect foil to everything we’re wearing these days.

But you didn’t think we were just going to talk about pink jeans, did you? Revealing, ta-da!, the Reveal Malia Clutch is truly exciting for us trend-watchers. It’s our current favorite type of handbag (we talked about clutches here and here), in a dusty rose, eco-friendly iteration. The satin is made from recycled bottles and the strap can go on or off. By day, this quilted number adds uptown cool to blazers and shifts, while at night it classes up a jean and sparkly heel duo. Wearing it, you’ll no doubt be a flower your admirers would like to pick!

Ask said fashionista what her secret to style is, and there’s a chance she might not tell you. But all the rest of us have to do is look closely: the nubby tweeds, the sharp snakeskin, the shiny patent leather. Standing out is all about texture.

It comes with a removable chain, but it wouldn’t be difficult to ascertain whether we’ll be using it. Choose any of the delectable colors it comes in (gold, terra, or black) and be surprised at its versatility. Oh, and at $39, we’d say that’s a very good buy to carry all day and night, with all your might!

But for the gal that can rock it: she’s always looking fierce with her head held high, a handbag (you know?) swinging off her arm. Might her proud posture be related to a tulle, satin, and leotard twirling childhood? Supplier of baby ballerinas everywhere, the brand Danskin is known for its wee pink leotards that yours truly wore with a crown of silk roses and a tulle skit at the YMCA dance recital.

The Passchal Danskin Hobo, created with reused Dansko store banners and recycled tractor tires, is a grown-up statement option for every girl who ever dreamed of dancing. Luxe touches like polished Italian hardware and an adjustable shoulder strap keep it chic, while an inner LED light satisfies the light-bulb genius in all of us girls. Wear it proudly, and expect to feel as good as the first time you tied on your slippers and pliéd.

The key to present-ability when so much skin has to show is a tote that’s lovely and lady-like. You know, to balance out all that your mama gave you. It seems fitting that the bag brand to fit the bill is appropriately called “Reveal”, as in, the Reveal Sophie Tote. A classic quilted tote in recycled satin and vegan patent leather, this ultra-chic eco-beauty is perfectly summer-time fetching in Natural. We can’t help but dreaming of taking it to brunch with a peasant blouse and shorts, or out for margaritas with a floral bustier dress. Do we even need to tell you who our date would be? No one but our very best ladies, of course.

The Crystalyn Kae Soiree Drawstring Tote is a guaranteed cure for the doldrums, work week related or not. And we would know – by hour five of the Angel Handbag photo shoot, our excitement for purses could only be held by the best and brightest. And this one really held it. What’s not to love? Outside, water-resistant glazed fabric is pleated to reveal limited edition vintage floral textiles. An adjustable strap and drawstring closure keep it comfortable to carry and easy to access the inside, which is, in a word, huge. All Tuesday-related items (laptop, running shoes, lunch, reading material, yesterday’s lunch, snacks) can fit comfortably, and the bag itself is lightweight enough that you won’t feel the need to forgo a workout just to carry the thing.

Wear it through the workweek with your best-fitting suit separates, and on the weekend, play off the patterns on the bag with a floral sundress or cutoffs. It’ll always be a party when you carry Crystalyn Kae!

During our Spring ’11 Angel Handbag shoot, our team fell in love with almost everything; but of course, there were a few ultimate favorites. That’s where the Matt & Nat Narita Drawstring Tote comes in. Hello, how amazing is this!? We were first drawn to the fashion-forward tie dye print, which, in muted grays and blacks, in the perfect foil to any and all spring and summer outfits. Ditto to the braided strap and gold hardware. But taking a peek inside, we were blown away by holding capacity of this tote. It looks like it would carry everything, and more!

But perhaps the most beautiful part of the Matt & Nat Narita Tote is what none of us can see: it’s made entirely of eco-friendly, vegan materials, including a lining that created from recycled plastic bottles. Now, that’s something to get tied up in.

For a similar look to Ms. Szohr’s, try the Lauren Merkin Louise Pebbled Metallic Lamb Clutch in Brown. (The leather finish reminds us of shimmery fish scales.) This structured clutch with pleated details would dive right with Ms. Szohr’s red dres . But for those of us that don’t have a ready supply of Marchesa at our fingertips, we’d throw out a line and cast this beauty as a foil to our favorite jean and t-shirt combination for downtown rocker flair. Sweet, with just enough (piranha optional) bite.

Our must-haves for the season includes anything leopard print, new tights (a friend once said tights are like produce: perishable!), loafers (believe it!), and a clutch that can transition from day to night. Nonetheless, our desire for a clutch is strong enough that we want one now, gosh darn it, and this, dear readers, is where Dan W comes in.

The Handwoven Genuine Snake Clutch is, in a word, perfection. What makes this thing so ideal for the present moment is that at first glance, the weaving lends to a rakish summer feel, not unlike a raffia purse. However, upon closer inspection one sees how the snake skin is woven into strips and stitches, making for one utterly cool clutch. It comes in five colors, but we love it best in Plum. Seriously, how perfect is this color as a foil to your summer brights (we see it going beautifully with hot pink or red), as well as your tweedy fall neutrals? So it came as no surprise, really, when our Google Alert informed us that the praised designer is set to release a fragrance. Our mouths almost began to water as we read on the potion: notes of green tea, peach and bergamot, blended with a “fragrant bouquet of rose absolute and delicate white flowers blended with a subtle touch of chocolate and osmanthus.” Yum! The bottle cheekily references Ms. Kiely’s iconic stem patterns and is topped with a stopper in typical Kiely bright orange. Spray it on your wrists and neck and then slip it into your  matching Laminated Classic Shoulder Bag (on sale!) in the Large Stem print as an ode to everyone’s most desirable designer.
