We all know the feeling. A day of schlepping around our laptop, our gym shoes, our lunch, our in-case-of-a-wait book, and our emergency supply of floss, among other sundries, leaves us feeling… well, sore. An overstuffed tote hanging from our shoulder throws our back out of whack (and causes us to rhyme, inexplicably), erasing all flexible Gumby feelings from last Tuesday’s yoga class.
Enter gogogear. The Angel Handbag designer brand of the month, our wardrobe and our spines are screaming for one of these well-crafted beauties. The Sophie Travel Tote has outside pockets for cellphones and water, inside compartments for laptop, coins, and a key holder, and the best part: it’s on wheels. All of our trepidation towards rolling backpacks (middle school memories have given us pause!) dissipated when we saw how the brand crafted the ergonomic totes in gorgeous patent chocolate leather or fierce black python. Designed by Katharine Marinaro, a mother horrified by the epic-ly overstuffed backpacks her children lugged around, she began gogogear in 2005 with lines of both children and women’s bags on wheels. Now that the smartest and most fashionable ladies (like ourselves, natch) are craving these, you could say the wheel has come full circle.
