Full disclosure: we consider Google Alerts a (non-payrolled!) Angel Handbag blog employee. It’s a way of keeping tabs on how our up and coming brands are doing across the internets. And the one brand that is always blowing up those weekly emails is Orla Kiely. It seems as if the designer can do no wrong! Besides the utterly useful and perennially adorable bags sold on Angel Handbags, Ms. Kiely also produces celebrated clothing and house-ware lines.
So it came as no surprise, really, when our Google Alert informed us that the praised designer is set to release a fragrance. Our mouths almost began to water as we read on the potion: notes of green tea, peach and bergamot, blended with a “fragrant bouquet of rose absolute and delicate white flowers blended with a subtle touch of chocolate and osmanthus.” Yum! The bottle cheekily references Ms. Kiely’s iconic stem patterns and is topped with a stopper in typical Kiely bright orange.
